The Skoda Octavia Combi is the station wagon Octavia, and it is still on sale new in Singapore. This page covers its list prices, then the COE rule, road tax and insurance for the older 1.4 that most of our insurers quote. It closes with the costs that depend on you.
The insurance prices are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. They are not a quote.
On the new-car list
The new-car list read on 2026-10-10 has two Octavia Combi versions, both station wagons made in the Czech Republic:
- Octavia Combi Mild Hybrid 1.5 TSI Selection: petrol-electric, 1,498cc, 114bhp, listed at S$199,900
- Octavia Combi RS 2.0 TSI: petrol, 1,984cc, 265bhp, listed at S$250,900
Both prices are as listed on 2026-10-10, with COE included as listed that day. They move with each COE round, so check what a dealer's figure includes.
Versions on our quote form
Our quote form carries four versions:
- Octavia Combi 1.4: 1,390cc
- Octavia Combi 1.5 TSI e-TEC Sportline: 1,498cc
- Octavia Combi 1.5 TSI e-TEC Style: 1,498cc
- Octavia Combi 1.5 TSI Selection: 1,498cc
The insurance figures below are for the 1.4, the version most of our insurers quote. A newer 1.5 may price differently.
COE
The price page states the rule for the Octavia Combi 1.4, with a 1,390cc engine:
- Category A if its power is 97kW (130bhp) or less: S$130,001 in the October 2026 1st round
- Category B if it is more: S$130,100 in the same round
For a new car, ask the dealer which category the version you are buying falls in. The COE page has the latest results.
Road tax
LTA's formula gives the 1,390cc engine a road tax of S$619.74 a year, before any age surcharge. The 1,498cc and 1,984cc engines pay more; see the road tax page.
A surcharge applies once a car is more than 10 years old:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
Car insurance
The Skoda Octavia Combi price page prices this profile:
- Car: Octavia Combi 1.4, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: at an authorised workshop, no add-ons
The spread
13 insurers price it. Three on our panel do not: two have no online price for the model yet, and one does not list it.
The lowest premium is S$721.59 a year. The insurer whose lowest plan is dearest asks at least S$1,247.27: S$525.68 more, or 73% on top. All prices include 9% GST.
The excess
Most plans carry S$600. Others carry S$500 or S$800, a few S$2,500 or S$3,000, and one none. The third-lowest premium carries S$3,000, so look past the price before you choose.
Several prices are marked as estimates. Confirm them on the insurer's own site, where you finish buying.
How the price changes
The price page shows the lowest price when one detail changes:
- No NCD (0%): S$1,080.50, S$358.91 more
- 20% NCD: S$1,064.09, S$342.50 more
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,080.50, S$358.91 more
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$721.59, the same
- A new car, registered this year: S$742.90, S$21.31 more
- A car 8 years old: S$660.69, S$60.90 less
Without NCD, the lowest price rises 50%, and 20% NCD is only slightly better. A 27-year-old driver pays the no-NCD figure. The driver aged 65 pays the same as the standard profile. A new car costs S$21.31 more at the lowest price, and an 8-year-old one S$60.90 less. For the driver aged 65 and the new car, 12 insurers quote.
These are lowest prices only. Dearer plans may move by other amounts.
What to check on a plan
- Workshop: these prices assume an authorised workshop. Any-workshop plans may cost a different amount.
- Named drivers: check who may drive and what a younger driver adds.
- NCD protection: an add-on on some plans, not in these prices.
- Right version: make sure each quote is for your car's engine, whether 1.4 or 1.5.

- Petrol: depends on the version, your mileage and the pump price.
