The Skoda Kodiaq is still on sale new in Singapore, so this page can show list prices as well as the yearly bills. It covers the versions on the new-car list, the COE rule, road tax and car insurance from 14 insurers. It ends with the costs that depend on you.
Insurance prices are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. Your own premium depends on your details.
What is on sale
The new-car list read on 2026-10-10 has three Kodiaq versions, all SUVs made in the Czech Republic:
- Kodiaq Mild Hybrid 1.5 TSI Selection 7-Seater: petrol-electric, 1,498cc, 148bhp
- Kodiaq Mild Hybrid 1.5 TSI Sportline 7-Seater: petrol-electric, 1,498cc, 148bhp
- Kodiaq RS 2.0 TSI 7-Seater: petrol, 1,984cc, 261bhp
Our quote form also carries older versions:
- Kodiaq 1.4: 1,395cc
- KODIAQ 1.5: 1,498cc
- Kodiaq 2.0: 1,984cc
The insurance figures below are for the Kodiaq 1.4, the version most of our insurers quote. That is not one of the versions on sale new, so a quote for a new car may differ.
List prices
As listed on 2026-10-10, with COE included in the list price that day:
- Mild Hybrid 1.5 TSI Selection 7-Seater: S$218,900
- Mild Hybrid 1.5 TSI Sportline 7-Seater: S$228,900
- RS 2.0 TSI 7-Seater: S$287,900
List prices move with each COE round. When you compare dealer offers, check what each one includes.
COE
The price page states the rule for the Kodiaq 1.4, with a 1,395cc engine:
- Category A if its power is 97kW (130bhp) or less: S$130,001 in the October 2026 1st round
- Category B if it is more: S$130,100 in the same round
The new versions have different engines and power, so ask the dealer which category applies to the car you are offered. The COE page has the latest results.
Road tax
LTA's formula gives the 1.4's 1,395cc engine a road tax of S$622.66 a year, before any age surcharge. The 1,498cc and 1,984cc engines pay more; see the road tax page.
A surcharge applies once a car is more than 10 years old:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
Car insurance for the Kodiaq
The Skoda Kodiaq price page prices this profile:
- Car: Kodiaq 1.4, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: at an authorised workshop, no add-ons
The spread
14 insurers price it, and two on our panel do not. The lowest premium is S$622.34 a year. The insurer whose lowest plan is dearest asks at least S$1,247.27: S$624.93 more, or 100% on top. All prices include 9% GST.
In other words, the dearest insurer's lowest plan costs double the lowest premium.
The excess
The four lowest premiums carry S$600, S$2,500, S$500 and S$3,000. Most other plans carry S$600. Some carry S$500 or S$800, a few S$2,500, and one none. Compare each premium with its excess.
Several prices are marked as estimates. Confirm them on the insurer's own site.
How the price changes
The price page shows the lowest price when one detail changes:
- No NCD (0%): S$1,135.94, S$513.60 more
- 20% NCD: S$1,048.14, S$425.80 more
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,135.94, S$513.60 more
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$622.34, the same
- A new car, registered this year: S$642.42, S$20.08 more
- A car 8 years old: S$569.36, S$52.98 less
Without NCD, the lowest price rises 83%. A 27-year-old driver pays the same as the no-NCD driver. The driver aged 65 pays the same as the standard profile. A new car costs S$20.08 more at the lowest price. For the driver aged 65 and the new car, 13 insurers quote.
These are lowest prices only. Dearer plans may move by other amounts.
What to check on a plan
- Seven seats, several drivers: the new versions are 7-seaters. If more than one person drives, check who is covered.
- Workshop: these prices assume an authorised workshop. Any-workshop plans may cost a different amount.
- NCD protection: an add-on on some plans, not in these prices.
