The Lexus UX is on sale new in Singapore as the UX 300h, and older UX 200 and UX 250h cars are on the used market. Whichever you are looking at, this page sets out the costs we can put figures on. They are the list price, the COE, road tax and car insurance.
The list price is for the new 300h. The insurance and COE figures are for the UX 200 on our quote form. Each section says which it covers. Insurance prices are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026.
The versions
The new-car list read on 2026-10-10 has one UX on sale, an SUV made in Japan:
- UX 300h Hybrid 2.0 Luxury: petrol-electric, 1,987cc, 196bhp
Our quote form lists two versions, both 1,987cc:
- UX 200: 1,987cc
- UX 250h: 1,987cc
The insurance figures below are for the UX 200, the version most insurers quote.
List price
As listed on 2026-10-10, with COE included in the list price that day:
- UX 300h Hybrid 2.0 Luxury: S$328,800
List prices move with each COE round. A dealer's price today may differ, so check what each offer includes before you compare.
COE
The price page's COE section covers the UX 200. With a 1,987cc engine, above 1,600cc, it needs a Category B COE. That category closed at S$130,100 in the October 2026 1st round.
The page states no category for the 300h, so we give none here. The COE page has the latest results.
Road tax
For a 1,987cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$1,196.86 a year, before any age surcharge. All three versions named above have that engine size.
The age surcharge, for cars past 10 years:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
The road tax page covers other engine sizes if you are comparing cars.
Insurance for the example driver
The Lexus UX price page prices this case:
- Car: UX 200, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: authorised workshop, no add-ons
15 insurers price it. The lowest premium is S$861.03. The insurer with the dearest lowest plan asks at least S$2,078.39. That is S$1,217.36 more, or 141% on top. All prices include 9% GST.
That spread is wide: the dearest is well over twice the lowest. Only one insurer that prices cars online has no online price for the UX yet, so you can compare across nearly the whole market.
Excess
The excess is what you pay yourself on each claim. Ten of the 23 plans carry S$600. Three ask S$500, two S$750 and three S$800. Three ask S$2,500 and one S$3,000. One plan has no excess.
With 23 plans, it is easy to fix on the premium and miss the excess. Set the two side by side for every plan on your shortlist.
How the price changes
The price page reprices the car with one change:
- No NCD (0%): S$1,330.60, S$469.57 more
- 20% NCD: S$1,330.60, S$469.57 more
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,330.60, S$469.57 more
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$861.03, the same
- New car, registered this year: S$886.61, S$25.58 more
- Car 8 years old: S$787.96, S$73.07 less
No NCD costs the most: the lowest price is 55% higher. The younger driver lands on the same figure. The 65-year-old pays the same as the base driver.
A new UX costs S$25.58 more to insure than the 3-year-old car, and an 8-year-old one S$73.07 less. These figures are for the UX 200. A new 300h may price differently, so get a quote for the exact version.
The lowest insurer changes once the NCD drops below 50%. If your discount is lower than the example, the order on the page will not be the one you face. These are lowest prices only.
Against similar cars
The price page compares six similar cars for the same driver and car age:
- BMW 3 Series: S$1,009.11
- Mercedes-Benz GLC: S$925.60
- Mercedes-Benz E-Class: S$861.03
- BMW 5 Series: S$861.03
- Toyota Voxy: S$793.75
- Toyota Harrier: S$742.90
They average S$865.57. The UX costs 1% less, so it sits right at the middle. Two of the six, the Voxy and the Harrier, are cheaper to insure. The E-Class and 5 Series match it. Other Lexus models are on the Lexus car insurance page.
Costs that depend on you
- Parking: season parking at your HDB block or condo, plus office and mall parking.
- Petrol: depends on how far you drive and the pump price. The 300h and 250h pair petrol with an electric motor.
- ERP: depends on your routes and times.
- Servicing and repairs: ask what the warranty and any service package cover on a new car, or for the records on a used one.
- Depreciation: depends on what you pay and what the car fetches later.
