The Lexus CT 200h is a used-market car in Singapore now: the new-car list has no entry for it. If you are thinking of buying one, or want to check what yours should cost, this page lays out the figures we have. They cover the COE category, road tax and car insurance.
The insurance prices are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. Use them to compare and to see what moves the price. Your quote will depend on your details.
The version we price
Our quote form lists one version:
- CT 200h: 1,798cc
There is no list price, as the new-car list does not carry the CT. All figures below are for the CT 200h. Because the form carries just this one version, the road tax and COE notes should match the CTs you find for sale. Check the engine size on the car's papers all the same.
Which COE it needs
The price page's COE section says the CT 200h, with a 1,798cc engine, is above 1,600cc. It needs a Category B COE.
Category B closed at S$130,100 in the October 2026 1st round. COE results change every round; the COE page shows the latest. With a used car, check when the COE expires. It is one of the biggest factors in what the car is worth.
Road tax
For a 1,798cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$975.16 a year, before any age surcharge.
Once the car is past 10 years old, the surcharge applies:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
Check the registration date on the car's papers to see whether any step applies. The road tax page covers other engines.
Insuring the CT 200h
The Lexus CT price page prices this case:
- Car: CT 200h, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: authorised workshop, no add-ons
13 insurers price it. The lowest premium is S$896.01. The insurer with the dearest lowest plan asks at least S$1,819.38, which is S$923.37 more, or 103% on top. All prices include 9% GST.
So the dearest is a little more than double the lowest. Three insurers that price cars online have no online price for the CT yet.
The excess
The excess is your share of each claim. Ten of the 19 plans on this page carry S$600. Two ask S$500, two S$750 and three S$800. One plan asks S$2,500, and one has no excess.
Most plans here cluster between S$500 and S$800. The single S$2,500 plan is the one to spot. If it is the one with the low premium, weigh the excess before you choose it.
How the price changes
The price page reprices the car after one change:
- No NCD (0%): S$1,179.14, S$283.13 more
- 20% NCD: S$1,179.14, S$283.13 more
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,179.14, S$283.13 more
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$919.68, S$23.67 more
- New car, registered this year: S$947.14, S$51.13 more
- Car 8 years old: S$841.31, S$54.70 less
No NCD costs the most, adding 32% to the lowest price. The younger driver with 30% NCD lands on the same figure. The 65-year-old pays a little more than the base driver.
The car's age matters more here than on some models. A new car costs S$51.13 more and an 8-year-old one S$54.70 less. Since any CT you buy now is used, an older car's lower premium is worth noting. These are lowest prices only, and other plans may change by different amounts.
The lowest insurer also changes from row to row. That means the plan that suits the example driver may not suit you. Compare with your own details.
Against similar cars
The price page compares six similar cars at the same driver and car age:
- Mercedes-Benz E-Class: S$861.03
- BMW 5 Series: S$861.03
- Toyota Harrier: S$742.90
- Hyundai Kona: S$721.59
- Toyota Corolla Altis: S$642.42
- Hyundai Avante: S$622.34
Their average lowest price is S$741.89. The CT costs 21% more, and all six are cheaper to insure. The E-Class and 5 Series come closest, at S$861.03 each. The Avante and the Corolla Altis are the lowest of the group. Other Lexus models are on the Lexus car insurance page.
Costs that depend on you
These vary from owner to owner, so we give no figures:
- Parking: season parking at your HDB block or condo, plus office and town parking.
- Petrol: depends on how far you drive and the pump price.
- ERP: depends on your routes and the time of day.
- Servicing and repairs: on a used car, ask for the service record and what is due next.
- Depreciation: depends on the price you pay and the COE years left.
