The Lexus NX200T has its own entry on our quote form, apart from the wider NX range. With no entry on the new-car list now, it is a used buy in Singapore. This page sets out the costs we can show with figures: the COE, road tax and car insurance.
Insurance prices are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. They help you compare and show what moves the price. They are not your quote.
The NX200T on our form
Our quote form has one version:
- NX200T: 1,998cc
There is no list price, since the new-car list does not carry it. Every figure below is for the NX200T. Since the form carries only this one engine size, the road tax and COE notes should fit any NX200T you are offered. Check the car's papers all the same.
COE
The price page's COE section says the NX200T, with a 1,998cc engine, is above 1,600cc. It needs a Category B COE.
Category B closed at S$130,100 in the October 2026 1st round. COE results change every round; the COE page has the latest. For a used car, check how much COE life is left before you agree a price.
Road tax
At 1,998cc, LTA's formula gives S$1,209.76 a year, before any age surcharge.
Once the car passes 10 years, a surcharge applies:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
The road tax page shows the base sums for other engines.
Insurance for the base case
The Lexus NX200T price page prices this case:
- Car: NX200T, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: authorised workshop, no add-ons
14 insurers price it. The lowest premium is S$972.39. The insurer with the dearest lowest plan asks at least S$2,078.39, which is S$1,106.00 more, or 114% on top. All prices include 9% GST.
That is more than double from lowest to dearest. Only two insurers that price cars online have no online price for the NX200T yet, so nearly the whole market is in view.
The excess
The excess is what you pay yourself on each claim. Of the 22 plans here, nine carry S$600. Three ask S$500, two S$750 and three S$800. Three more ask S$2,500, one asks S$3,000 and one has no excess.
With such a range, the plan with the lowest premium may not be the lowest cost overall. If you claim, a high excess can wipe out what you saved on the premium. If you expect to claim rarely, a higher excess may matter less to you. If you park in busy places or share the car, it may matter more.
How the price changes
The price page reprices the car with one change:
- No NCD (0%): S$1,450.30, S$477.91 more
- 20% NCD: S$1,450.30, S$477.91 more
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,434.42, S$462.03 more
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$1,024.59, S$52.20 more
- New car, registered this year: S$955.71, S$16.68 less
- Car 8 years old: S$900.79, S$71.60 less
No NCD costs the most, with the lowest price 49% higher. The younger driver comes close, at S$1,434.42. The 65-year-old pays a little more than the base driver.
The car's age pulls the price down either way from the base case. A new car is S$16.68 cheaper to insure, and an 8-year-old one S$71.60 cheaper. Since any NX200T you buy now is used, the older-car figure is a useful guide.
These are lowest prices only. Several different insurers are lowest across these rows. So your own NCD, age and car age may point to a different insurer from the example driver's.
Against similar cars
The price page compares six similar cars for the same driver and car age:
- BMW 3 Series: S$1,009.11
- Mercedes-Benz GLC: S$925.60
- Mercedes-Benz E-Class: S$861.03
- BMW 5 Series: S$861.03
- Toyota Voxy: S$793.75
- Toyota Harrier: S$742.90
Their average is S$865.57. The NX200T costs 12% more. Five of the six are cheaper to insure; only the BMW 3 Series costs more. The Mercedes-Benz GLC comes closest of the cheaper five. Other Lexus models are on the Lexus car insurance page.
Costs that depend on you
These vary from owner to owner, so we give no figures:
- Parking: season parking at your HDB block or condo, plus work and weekend parking.
- Petrol: depends on how far you drive and the pump price.
- ERP: depends on your routes and times.
- Servicing and repairs: on a used car, ask for the service history and what is due next.
- Depreciation: depends on the price you pay and the COE years left.
