The Lexus UX 300h is the UX on sale new in Singapore today. If you are pricing one up, this page sets out each cost we can show with a figure: the list price, the COE, road tax and car insurance. One point stands out. Only six insurers price it online for our example driver.

Insurance prices are examples for that one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. Treat them as a guide to how the costs fit together, not as a quote.

The version

The new-car list read on 2026-10-10 has one version on sale, an SUV made in Japan:

  • UX 300h Hybrid 2.0 Luxury: petrol-electric, 1,987cc, 196bhp

Our quote form lists it as the UX 300h 2.0 Luxury (1,987cc). All figures below are for this version.

List price

As listed on 2026-10-10, with COE included in the list price that day:

  • UX 300h Hybrid 2.0 Luxury: S$328,800

List prices change with every COE round. A dealer's figure today may differ from this, so check what each offer includes before you compare totals.

COE

The price page's COE section says the UX 300h 2.0 Luxury, with a 1,987cc engine, is above 1,600cc. It needs a Category B COE.

In the October 2026 1st round, Category B closed at S$130,100. The premium changes with each round, so check the COE page for the latest.

Road tax

For a 1,987cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$1,196.86 a year, before any age surcharge.

The surcharge only starts once a car is more than 10 years old:

  • Over 10 years: +10%
  • Over 11 years: +20%
  • Over 12 years: +30%
  • Over 13 years: +40%
  • Over 14 years: +50%

The road tax page shows how engine size sets the base sum.

Insurance for the example driver

The Lexus UX 300h price page prices this case:

  • Car: UX 300h 2.0 Luxury, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
  • Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
  • Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
  • Repairs: authorised workshop, no add-ons

6 insurers price it. The lowest premium is S$957.38. The insurer with the dearest lowest plan asks at least S$2,078.39. That is S$1,121.01 more, or 117% on top. All prices include 9% GST.

Ten insurers that price cars online have no online price for the UX 300h. For one, the model is not on its online quote; the other nine have no online price for it yet. For a car on sale new, that is a thin field. You may want to ask other insurers for a quote by phone or email.

Excess

The excess is what you pay yourself on each claim. There are just 7 plans on this page. Four carry S$600, two ask S$500 and one has no excess. None asks more than S$600, so the plans are easy to compare on this point.

How the price changes

The price page reprices the car with one change:

  • No NCD (0%): S$1,871.58, S$914.20 more
  • 20% NCD: S$1,498.19, S$540.81 more
  • Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,957.98, S$1,000.60 more
  • Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$1,046.23, S$88.85 more
  • New car, registered this year: S$986.19, S$28.81 more
  • Car 8 years old: S$911.27, S$46.11 less

The younger driver costs the most. A 27-year-old with 3 years' driving and 30% NCD sees the lowest price rise by 105%, more than double. No NCD at all comes close. Even 20% NCD adds S$540.81.

The car's age matters much less. If you buy new, the "new car" row is the one to read: S$986.19 for the example driver. The same insurer is lowest in every row here. These are lowest prices only, and the other plans may move by different amounts.

So for a UX 300h, the driver's NCD and experience shape the premium far more than anything else. If you hold a full NCD from another car, it carries across when you switch. If a younger family member will drive, name them when you ask for quotes.

Against similar cars

The price page compares six similar cars at the same driver and car age:

They average S$865.57. The UX 300h costs 11% more. Five of the six are cheaper to insure; only the BMW 3 Series costs more. Each rival is priced by 14 or 15 insurers, against 6 for the UX 300h. Other Lexus models are on the Lexus car insurance page.

Costs that depend on you

  • Parking: season parking at your HDB block or condo, plus office and mall parking.
  • Petrol: depends on how far you drive and the pump price. The 300h pairs petrol with an electric motor.
  • ERP: depends on your routes and times.
  • Servicing and repairs: follow the maker's schedule. Ask what the warranty and any service package cover.
  • Depreciation: depends on what you pay and what the car fetches later.
