Lexus RX350H costs in Singapore when few insurers quote online

Lexus RX350H costs in Singapore: road tax for a 2,487cc engine, Category B COE and insurance from just 7 insurers, with a big young-driver jump.

20 Oct 2026 · 5 min read

Only seven insurers price the Lexus RX350H online for our example driver. That makes this a car where shopping around takes more effort, and where each quote counts. This page sets out what we can show: road tax, the COE category and how the insurance price changes.

The new-car list has no RX350H entry now, so you would be buying used. Insurance prices are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. They show the shape of the market, not your own quote.

The version on our form

Our quote form lists one version:

  • RX350H: 2,487cc

There is no list price to give. Every figure below is for the RX350H. Check that the car you are offered has the same 2,487cc engine, as road tax and insurance depend on it.

COE

The price page's COE section says the RX350H, with a 2,487cc engine, is above 1,600cc. It needs a Category B COE.

Category B closed at S$130,100 in the October 2026 1st round. COE results change each round; the COE page has the latest. On a used car, check how long the COE has left to run.

Road tax

For a 2,487cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$1,783.36 a year, before any age surcharge.

Older cars pay a surcharge on top:

  • Over 10 years: +10%
  • Over 11 years: +20%
  • Over 12 years: +30%
  • Over 13 years: +40%
  • Over 14 years: +50%

The road tax page shows how the base sum is set.

Insurance for the example driver

The Lexus RX350H price page prices this case:

  • Car: RX350H, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
  • Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
  • Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
  • Repairs: authorised workshop, no add-ons

7 insurers price it. The lowest premium is S$1,052.12. The insurer with the dearest lowest plan asks at least S$2,027.52. That is S$975.40 more, or 93% on top. All prices include 9% GST.

Nine insurers that price cars online have no online price for the RX350H yet. With so many missing, you may want to ask some of them for a quote by other means.

The excess

The excess is what you pay on each claim. There are only 9 plans on this page. Five carry S$600 and two ask S$750. One asks S$2,500 and one has no excess. With so few plans, it is quick to compare each one in full: premium, excess and what each plan covers. That is worth the few minutes it takes.

The young driver effect

The price page reprices the car with one change:

  • No NCD (0%): S$1,977.69, S$925.57 more
  • 20% NCD: S$1,593.45, S$541.33 more
  • Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$2,132.64, S$1,080.52 more
  • Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$1,213.49, S$161.37 more
  • New car, registered this year: S$1,040.95, S$11.17 less
  • Car 8 years old: S$959.83, S$92.29 less

The younger driver costs the most here. A 27-year-old with 3 years' driving and 30% NCD sees the lowest price rise by 103%, more than double. No NCD at all is close behind, and even 20% NCD adds S$541.33.

The 65-year-old pays S$161.37 more than the base driver. Car age has a smaller effect. A new car is S$11.17 cheaper and an 8-year-old one S$92.29 cheaper.

The same insurer is lowest in every row. That makes the lowest price easy to follow, but it also means the rest of the field may move differently. These are lowest prices only.

If a younger family member will drive the car, name them when you ask for quotes. On this model, it changes the price more than anything else on the list. The same goes for anyone without a full NCD.

Against similar cars

The price page compares six similar cars for the same driver and car age:

Their average lowest price is S$892.30. The RX350H costs 18% more. Five of the six are cheaper to insure; only the Audi RS 3 Sedan costs more. Each of the five is priced by 15 insurers, against 7 for the RX350H. Other Lexus models are on the Lexus car insurance page.

Costs that depend on you

These vary from owner to owner, so we give no figures:

  • Parking: season parking at home and work, plus parking for errands and trips.
  • Petrol: depends on how far you drive and the pump price.
  • ERP: depends on your routes and times.
  • Servicing and repairs: on a used car, ask for the service history and what is due next.
  • Depreciation: depends on what you pay and the COE years left.

Summary of yearly costs we can show
