A 3-litre engine sets the tone for what the Jaguar F-PACE R-Sport costs to keep in Singapore. Road tax is high, and insurance depends heavily on who is driving. This page lays out each cost we can show with a figure, so you can see where the money goes.
The new-car list has no F-PACE R-Sport on sale now, so a buyer today is looking at a used car. Insurance prices below are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. They are a guide, not a quote.
The version on the quote form
Our quote form lists one version:
- F-PACE R-Sport 3.0 V6: 2,995cc
With no new-car list entry, we give no list price. All figures that follow are for the 3.0 V6.
COE
The price page's COE section says the F-PACE R-Sport 3.0 V6, with a 2,995cc engine, is above 1,600cc and needs a Category B COE.
Category B closed at S$130,100 in the October 2026 1st round. Results move each round, so check the COE page for the latest. On a used car, look at the COE expiry date as well as the asking price.
Road tax
At 2,995cc, LTA's formula puts road tax at S$2,379.24 a year, before any age surcharge. That is a large fixed cost to budget for every year.
It goes up again once the car passes 10 years:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
The road tax page shows how engine size drives this figure.
Insurance for the standard driver
The Jaguar F-PACE R-Sport price page prices this case:
- Car: F-PACE R-Sport 3.0 V6, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: authorised workshop, no add-ons
10 insurers price it for that driver. The lowest premium is S$1,324.33. The insurer with the dearest lowest plan asks at least S$3,013.35. That is S$1,689.02 more, or 128% on top. Prices include 9% GST.
Six insurers that price cars online have no online price for this model. For one, the reason is that the model is not on its online quote. With fewer insurers in the running, each one you compare counts for more.
Excess
Your excess is the share of a claim you pay before cover kicks in. Nine of the 13 plans on this page carry S$600, two carry S$500, one has none and one asks S$2,500. Most plans sit close together on this, but check the outliers before you choose.
The driver matters most here
The price page reprices the car with one detail changed:
- No NCD (0%): S$2,588.95, S$1,264.62 more
- 20% NCD: S$2,072.43, S$748.10 more
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$2,623.17, S$1,298.84 more
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$1,393.86, S$69.53 more
- New car, registered this year: S$1,364.18, S$39.85 more
- Car 8 years old: S$1,260.55, S$63.78 less
On this car, the young driver change costs the most. A 27-year-old with 3 years' driving and 30% NCD sees the lowest price rise by 98%. Losing the NCD altogether costs almost as much. Here, unlike many cars, 20% NCD and 0% NCD give different prices, so each step of the discount counts.
Car age moves the price far less. A new car costs slightly more and an 8-year-old one slightly less. These are lowest prices, and dearer plans may react differently.
If a younger family member will drive, ask for quotes with them named. The figures above show how far that can shift the price on a car like this.
Against similar cars
The price page sets the F-PACE R-Sport beside six similar cars, with the same driver and car age:
- Audi S4 Saloon: S$1,501.01
- Audi Q7: S$1,238.58
- Audi S5: S$1,238.58
- Audi S5 SPRTback: S$1,238.58
- Audi SQ5: S$1,210.01
- BMW 7 Series: S$1,030.55
Their average lowest price is S$1,242.89. The F-PACE R-Sport costs 7% more. Five of the six are cheaper to insure; only the Audi S4 Saloon costs more. See the Jaguar car insurance page for the rest of the range.
Costs we leave to you
These vary by owner, so we do not put figures on them:
- Parking: your season parking at home and work, plus parking when you are out.
- Petrol: depends on your mileage and the pump price.
- ERP: depends on your routes and times.
- Servicing and repairs: on a used car, check the service record and ask what is due.
- Depreciation: shaped by what you pay and the COE life left.
