The Jaguar E-PACE is no longer on the new-car list, so in Singapore you would be buying one used. This page is for anyone weighing one up, or already paying for one, who wants the yearly costs set out plainly.
We cover the items we can put a figure on: the COE, road tax and car insurance. The insurance prices are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. They are not a quote for you.
Versions on our quote form
With no new-car list entry, there is no list price to give. Our quote form has two versions:
- E-PACE 1.5: 1,498cc
- E-PACE 2.0P: 1,997cc
The insurance figures are for the 1.5, the version most insurers quote. The engine size matters for both the COE and road tax, so check which one the car in front of you has.
Which COE it needs
For the E-PACE 1.5, with its 1,498cc engine, the COE category depends on power. The price page's COE section says it needs a Category A COE if its power is 97kW (130bhp) or less, and a Category B COE if it is more.
In the October 2026 1st round, Category A closed at S$130,001 and Category B at S$130,100. These results change every round; the COE page shows the latest. On a used car, the COE years left are part of the value.
Road tax
For the 1.5's 1,498cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$683.08 a year, before any age surcharge. The 2.0P has a bigger engine, so its road tax is higher. The road tax page covers other engine sizes.
The age surcharge starts after 10 years:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
Insurance for the example driver
The Jaguar E-PACE price page prices this case:
- Car: E-PACE 1.5, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: authorised workshop, no add-ons
14 insurers price it. The lowest premium is S$892.88. The insurer with the dearest lowest plan asks at least S$2,158.98. That is S$1,266.10 more, or 142% on top. All prices include 9% GST.
So the spread is wide. The same car and driver can cost more than twice as much from one insurer as from another. Two insurers that price cars online have no online price for the E-PACE yet.
Watch the excess
The excess is what you pay yourself when you claim. Ten of the 22 plans on this page set it at S$600. Others sit at S$500, S$750 or S$800, three are at S$2,500 and one is at S$3,000. One plan has no excess. Before you take the lowest premium, check what excess comes with it.
How the price shifts
Here is the lowest premium when one thing changes, all else as above:
- No NCD (0%): S$1,330.60, S$437.72 more
- 20% NCD: S$1,330.60, S$437.72 more
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,330.60, S$437.72 more
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$892.88, the same
- New car, registered this year: S$919.68, S$26.80 more
- Car 8 years old: S$817.19, S$75.69 less
The NCD has the largest effect. With none, the lowest price is 49% higher. A younger, less experienced driver with 30% NCD lands on the same figure. The 65-year-old pays the same as the 40-year-old. Age of car has a smaller pull: older is a little cheaper. Keep in mind these are lowest prices only.
The practical point is the NCD. If you are moving from another car, ask your current insurer for proof of your discount, as it carries across. If you have had a claim or a break from driving, expect to land nearer the higher figures.
Against similar cars
The price page lines up six similar cars, for the same driver and car age:
- Mazda 3: S$927.36
- BMW X1: S$811.71
- Mercedes-Benz GLB: S$787.96
- Toyota Corolla Altis: S$642.42
- Honda Freed: S$642.42
- Toyota Sienta: S$604.07
Their average lowest price is S$735.99. The E-PACE costs 21% more than that. Five of the six are cheaper to insure; only the Mazda 3 costs more. The Jaguar car insurance page covers the rest of the make.
Owner-dependent costs
These change from one owner to the next, so we give no figures:
- Parking: season parking at your HDB block or condo, plus parking at work and when out.
- Petrol: depends on how far you drive and on pump prices.
- ERP: depends on your routes and timing.
- Servicing and repairs: on a used car, ask for the service history and what is due next. Tyres, brakes and a battery all come up in time.
- Depreciation: set by what you pay and the COE life left on the car.
