How much a Jaguar F-PACE Prestige costs to run in Singapore

The Jaguar F-PACE Prestige in Singapore: Category B COE, road tax for the 2.0 and how car insurance prices change with NCD, driver age and car age.

20 Oct 2026 · 5 min read

The Jaguar F-PACE Prestige is a used-market buy in Singapore today, as the new-car list has no entry for it. If you are pricing one up, the yearly bills you can plan for are road tax and car insurance. This page sets those out, with the COE category, using only dated figures.

Insurance prices here are examples for a single stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. Treat them as a guide to how the costs compare, not as the price you will be offered.

The versions we price

There is no list price to show. Our quote form carries two versions of the F-PACE Prestige:

  • F-PACE Prestige 2.0: 1,999cc
  • F-PACE Prestige 3.0 V6: 2,967cc

The insurance figures below are for the 2.0, which most insurers quote. The 3.0 V6 has a much larger engine, so its road tax will be higher. Check which engine the car you are looking at has before you use these numbers.

The COE on this car

The price page's COE section places the F-PACE Prestige 2.0, with its 1,999cc engine, above 1,600cc. It needs a Category B COE.

That category closed at S$130,100 in the October 2026 1st round. COE results shift each round; the COE page lists the most recent. When you buy used, the COE life left on the car is part of what you pay for.

Road tax for the 2.0

LTA's formula gives S$1,210.92 a year for a 1,999cc engine, before any age surcharge.

Older cars pay more. The surcharge steps up after the tenth year:

  • Over 10 years: +10%
  • Over 11 years: +20%
  • Over 12 years: +30%
  • Over 13 years: +40%
  • Over 14 years: +50%

You can work out the figure for the V6 on the road tax page.

Car insurance: the base case

The Jaguar F-PACE Prestige price page prices one driver and car:

  • Car: F-PACE Prestige 2.0, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
  • Driver: aged 40, married, office job, 10 to 19 years of driving
  • Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
  • Repairs: authorised workshop, no add-ons

For that case, 12 insurers price the car. The lowest premium is S$1,119.15. The insurer whose lowest plan is dearest asks at least S$2,599.34. That is S$1,480.19 more, or 132% on top. All prices include 9% GST.

So two insurers can be S$1,480.19 apart for the same driver and car. Four insurers that price cars online have no online price for this model yet, which narrows the choice a little.

The excess on each plan

The excess is the part of a claim you pay. On this page, nine of the 18 plans carry S$600. Three carry S$800, two S$750 and two S$500. At the ends, one plan has no excess and one asks S$2,500. Set the excess beside the premium when you compare, since a lower premium can mean a bigger bill when you claim.

What makes the price rise or fall

The price page changes one thing at a time and shows the new lowest price:

  • No NCD (0%): S$1,389.71, S$270.56 more
  • 20% NCD: S$1,389.71, S$270.56 more
  • Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,389.71, S$270.56 more
  • Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$1,288.66, S$169.51 more
  • New car, registered this year: S$1,109.05, S$10.10 less
  • Car 8 years old: S$1,017.20, S$101.95 less

Having no NCD costs the most, adding 24% to the lowest price. The older driver also pays noticeably more than the 40-year-old. Car age works the other way here: a new car is slightly cheaper than the 3-year-old one, and an 8-year-old car is cheaper still. These are lowest prices only, so other plans may change by more or less.

For a buyer, the clear lesson is that your NCD and your age shape this premium more than the car's age does.

Set against similar cars

The price page compares six similar cars at the same driver and car age:

These average S$867.25. The F-PACE Prestige costs 29% more, and every one of the six is cheaper to insure at these settings. Other Jaguars are on the Jaguar car insurance page.

Costs that come down to you

We give no figures for these, as they depend on the owner:

  • Parking: season parking where you live and work, plus short-term parking elsewhere.
  • Petrol: tied to your distance and the pump price.
  • ERP: depends on your routes and the time of day.
  • Servicing and repairs: ask for the service history on a used car, and what is due soon.
  • Depreciation: driven by the price you pay and the COE years remaining.

Summary of yearly costs we can show
