If you drive a Ford Fiesta, or you are weighing up a used one, this page lists what we can price for it in Singapore. It covers road tax, the COE category and car insurance, and then the costs that turn on how you use the car.
The insurance figures are examples for one stated driver on 20 October 2026. They are not a quote. Your own premium depends on the details you give.
Fiesta versions on our form
The Fiesta is not on the new-car list, so there is no list price, power figure or body detail here. Our quote form carries two engine sizes:
- Fiesta 1.4: 1,388cc
- Fiesta 1.6: 1,596cc
Most of our insurers quote the 1.4, so the figures below are for that version.
Where the COE stands
For the Fiesta 1.4, with its 1,388cc engine, the category is decided by power:
- Category A: if its power is 97kW (130bhp) or less. It closed at S$130,001 in the October 2026, 1st round.
- Category B: if its power is more. It closed at S$130,100 in that round.
Any Fiesta on the road already carries a COE. This becomes a live cost if you renew it when the term ends. Bidding results change each round, and the COE page keeps the latest.
Yearly road tax
Road tax follows engine size. For the 1.4's 1,388cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$618.56 a year, before any age surcharge. The figure was checked on 2026-10-19.
The surcharge starts after the tenth year and rises each year after that:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
The 1.6 has a bigger engine, so its road tax is higher. You can find its figure on the road tax page.
The insurance bill for one driver
The Ford Fiesta price page prices these details:
- Car: Fiesta 1.4, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: authorised workshop, no options
On that basis, 14 insurers give a price. The lowest is S$642.42 a year. The insurer whose lowest plan is dearest asks at least S$1,464.24. That is S$821.82 more, or 128% on top. Every figure includes 9% GST.
Most insurers on our panel price the Fiesta, so you have plenty to compare. Only two show no online price for it.
Look at the excess as well
The excess is what you pay yourself when you claim. On this page it runs from S$0 on one plan to S$3,000 on another. Most plans sit at S$600. A handful carry S$500, S$800 or S$2,500. A plan near the bottom of the price list can still carry one of the high excesses, so read the two columns side by side.
Some prices are marked as estimates. The "as at" date on each shows when its insurer's table was read.
What changes the premium
The price page changes one detail at a time and shows the new lowest price:
- No NCD (0%): S$986.30, S$343.88 more, a 54% rise
- 20% NCD: S$986.30, the same
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$986.30, S$343.88 more
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$642.42, unchanged
- A new car, registered this year: S$660.69, S$18.27 more
- A car 8 years old: S$586.41, S$56.01 less
The NCD matters most of the factors shown. Losing it, or holding only 20%, pushes the lowest price up by more than half. A younger driver with less experience sees the same rise. An older driver pays the same, and an older car costs less. Remember these are the lowest prices only. Other plans can shift by more or less.
Next to similar cars
Six similar cars sit on the price page, priced for the same driver and car age:
- Mazda 3: S$927.36
- Toyota Sienta: S$604.07
- BMW X1: S$811.71
- Mercedes-Benz GLB: S$787.96
- Honda Freed: S$642.42
- Hyundai Kona: S$721.59
These six average S$749.19 at their lowest price. The Fiesta is 14% below that. Only the Sienta costs less to insure, and the Freed matches the Fiesta. The Ford car insurance page covers other Fords. The cheapest cars to insure page sets models from many makes side by side.
Costs that depend on how you use it
We cannot give one figure for these:
- Parking: your HDB or condo season parking, plus what you pay at work, malls and on the street.
- Petrol: it follows your mileage and pump prices.
- ERP: it depends on which gantries you pass and when.
- Servicing and repairs: a car of this age may need tyres, brakes, a battery and other wear parts. Ask for the service record before you buy.
- Depreciation: on a used Fiesta it depends on the price paid and how many COE years are left.
