Our price page for the Citroen DS prices one car: the DS 7 Crossback, with a 1,598cc engine. It is not on the new-car list now. If you are thinking of buying one used, this page sets out the yearly costs, and shows an insurance pattern that differs from most cars.
The insurance figures are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. They are not a quote. Your own premium depends on your details.

The new-car list has no entry for this model on sale now. There is no list price, power or body type on this page.

Car insurance
The standard driver
The Citroen DS price page prices:
- Car: DS 7 Crossback, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: authorised workshop, no options
What 9 insurers ask
9 insurers price the DS 7 Crossback for that driver. The lowest premium is S$882.44 a year. The insurer whose lowest plan is dearest asks at least S$1,480.53. That is S$598.09 more, or 68% on top. All prices include 9% GST.
Seven insurers on our panel have no online price for this model. So the choice is narrower than for a mainstream car.
The excess
Most plans set a S$600 excess. Two set S$500. One plan sets S$2,500, and one has no excess.
Check the excess beside each premium, since it is what you pay first on each claim.
How the price moves
The price page shows the lowest price when one thing changes:
- No NCD (0%): S$1,658.75, S$776.31 more
- 20% NCD: S$1,333.69, S$451.25 more
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,811.23, S$928.79 more
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$1,047.34, S$164.90 more
- A new car, registered this year: S$848.87, S$33.57 less
- A car 8 years old: S$857.29, S$25.15 less
The young driver case costs most here. The lowest price rises by 105%, more than doubling. Losing the NCD comes close behind.
The older driver also pays more than the 40-year-old. One point is unusual: both a new car and an 8-year-old one are a little cheaper to insure than the 3-year-old car on the page.
These are lowest prices. Other plans may move by other amounts.
With the young-driver figure this high, adding a younger named driver may change the price a lot. Ask about it when you get a quote.
The COE
With a 1,598cc engine, the DS 7 Crossback needs a Category A COE if its power is 97kW (130bhp) or less. It needs a Category B COE if its power is more.
In the October 2026 1st round, Category A closed at S$130,001 and Category B at S$130,100. These change every round; the COE page has the latest.
On a used car, the years left on the COE count most.
Road tax
For the 1,598cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$741.72 a year. That was checked on 2026-10-19 and is before any age surcharge.
Older cars pay a surcharge on top:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
The road tax page has sums for other engines.
Points to compare
Along with the premium, check:
- Workshop: these prices assume an authorised workshop. Some plans let you use any workshop.
- Named drivers: as above, a younger driver can lift the price sharply.
- NCD protection: an extra some plans offer.
- Excess: your share of each claim.
