The Audi RS 3 Sedan is a niche car in Singapore, and that shows in its insurance. Few insurers price it online, and the quotes that exist are far apart. This page goes through the costs we can show for it, cost by cost, and the details that change them.
All insurance figures are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. Use them to see the shape of the market. They are not a quote for you.
The version we priced
The new-car list has no RS 3 Sedan on sale now, so this page gives no list price. Our quote form prices one version: the RS 3 Sedan 2.5 TFSI qu S tronic, with a 2,480cc engine. Every figure below refers to it.
COE for the RS 3 Sedan
The price page's COE section is simple here. The 2,480cc engine is above 1,600cc, so the car needs a Category B COE. In the October 2026 1st round, Category B closed at S$130,100.
COE prices change with every round. The COE page shows the latest.
Road tax
Road tax in Singapore follows engine size. For the 2,480cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$1,775.14 a year, before any age surcharge.
An older car pays a surcharge on top:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
The road tax page shows the figure for other engine sizes.
Insurance: a short list of prices
The Audi RS 3 Sedan price page prices this case:
- Car: RS 3 Sedan 2.5 TFSI qu S tronic, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, 10 to 19 years of driving
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: authorised workshop, no options
Only 3 insurers price it for that driver. The rest of our panel shows no online price for this model. The lowest premium is S$1,310.08 a year. The insurer whose lowest plan is dearest asks at least S$4,226.67. That is S$2,916.59 more, or 223% on top. Prices include 9% GST.
With so few quotes, each one matters. The dearest is more than three times the lowest, for the same car and driver.
Excess
The excess is what you pay on a claim before cover starts. Three of the plans on this page carry S$600. One carries no excess at all. Weigh that against the premium, because a lower excess often comes at a higher price.
Fewer quotes online
When only a handful of insurers quote a model online, it is worth knowing why. Some may rate the car outside their usual tables, or ask you to call. If you get a quote by phone or email, ask for the same cover, excess and workshop terms so you compare like with like.
What moves the premium
The price page shows the lowest price when one detail changes:
- No NCD (0%): S$2,758.07, up S$1,447.99
- 20% NCD: S$2,206.45, up S$896.37
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$2,603.02, up S$1,292.94
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$1,423.07, up S$112.99
- New car, registered this year: S$1,434.85, up S$124.77
- Car 8 years old: S$1,197.79, down S$112.29
The NCD drives most of the change. With no NCD, the lowest price rises 111%, the largest move here. A young driver with a 30% NCD pays almost as much.
For a new car registered this year, only 2 insurers give a price. An 8-year-old car is the one case where the price falls. These are lowest prices, and other plans may move differently.
Next to similar cars
The price page compares six cars with engines of a similar size, for the same driver and car age:
- Mitsubishi Outlander: S$861.03
- Toyota Camry: S$841.31
- Honda Odyssey: S$811.71
- Toyota Alphard: S$764.82
- Toyota Vellfire: S$764.82
- Chevrolet Captiva: S$764.82
Their average lowest price is S$801.42. The RS 3 Sedan costs 63% more than that, and all 6 are cheaper to insure. Each of those six is also priced by 15 insurers, against 3 for the RS 3 Sedan. Engine size alone does not set the premium. For other Audi models, see the Audi car insurance page.
Owner-dependent costs
Some costs depend on how and where you use the car, so we do not put a figure on them:
- Parking: season parking at an HDB block or condo, plus charges at work and in town. Check the rate where you live.
- Petrol: set by how much you drive and the pump price.
- ERP: depends on your routes and timing.
- Servicing and repairs: the maker's schedule, plus tyres, brakes and a battery. Parts for a niche model can cost more, so ask what the warranty and any service package include.
- Depreciation: what the car loses over its COE life depends on what you pay and what it fetches when sold.
