Audi A6 costs in Singapore, from list price to car insurance

The Audi A6 in Singapore: five list prices as listed, a Category B COE for the 2.0, road tax and dated car insurance examples.

20 Oct 2026 · 5 min read

The Audi A6 is a large executive car, and the range on sale spans petrol, mild hybrid and fully electric versions. The costs differ between them, so it helps to start with which A6 you mean. This page covers the list prices, the COE, road tax and car insurance, with dates on every figure.

The insurance prices here are examples, read on 20 October 2026, for one stated driver and car. Your own premium depends on your details. Use the figures to see how costs behave, not as an offer.

The A6 range on sale

The new-car list read on 2026-10-10 has five A6 versions, all made in Germany and listed under the luxury body type:

  • A6 Sedan 2.0 Advanced TFSI S tronic: petrol, 1,984cc, 201bhp
  • A6 Sedan 2.0 Edition 1 TFSI S tronic: petrol, 1,984cc, 201bhp
  • A6 Sportback e-tron Electric 83 kWh: electric, 282bhp
  • A6 Sportback e-tron Electric Edition 1 83 kWh: electric, 282bhp
  • A6 Sedan Mild Hybrid 3.0 TFSI qu S tronic S line: petrol-electric, 2,995cc, 362bhp

The quote form goes further back. It lists older engines from 1.8 to 3.0, Avant versions, a hybrid and the two 83 kWh electric versions. The insurance figures below are for the A6 2.0 (1,984cc), the version most insurers quote.

List prices

As listed on 2026-10-10, with COE included in the list price that day:

  • Sedan 2.0 Advanced TFSI S tronic: S$418,999
  • Sportback e-tron Electric 83 kWh: S$423,999
  • Sedan 2.0 Edition 1 TFSI S tronic: S$438,999
  • Sportback e-tron Electric Edition 1 83 kWh: S$443,999
  • Sedan Mild Hybrid 3.0 TFSI qu S tronic S line: S$474,999

These follow the COE and change with each round. When you compare offers, check what each one includes.

COE

For the A6 2.0, with its 1,984cc engine above 1,600cc, the price page states that it needs a Category B COE. Category B closed at S$130,100 in the October 2026 1st round.

This page states the category only for the 2.0. For the electric and 3.0 versions, check the category with the seller. The COE page has the latest round's results.

Road tax

For the 2.0's 1,984cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$1,193.34 a year, before any age surcharge.

The surcharge for cars over 10 years old:

  • Over 10 years: +10%
  • Over 11 years: +20%
  • Over 12 years: +30%
  • Over 13 years: +40%
  • Over 14 years: +50%

The 3.0 mild hybrid has a larger engine and pays more. The electric versions have no engine size, so this figure does not apply to them. The road tax page has more.

The insurance example

The Audi A6 price page prices this case:

  • Car: A6 2.0, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
  • Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
  • Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
  • Repairs: authorised workshop, no options

14 insurers price the A6 for that driver. The lowest premium is S$861.03 a year. The insurer whose lowest plan is the dearest asks at least S$1,929.19. The difference is S$1,068.16, or 124% on top. All prices include 9% GST.

So the same A6 and driver can cost more than twice as much to insure. Some prices on the page are estimates, and the insurer's own quote has the final figure.

Excess

The excess is the part of a claim you pay. Most A6 plans carry S$600. Others sit at S$500, S$750 or S$800, one asks S$2,500, and one has none. Weigh it with the premium.

Price changes, one detail at a time

The price page lists the lowest premium after a single change:

  • No NCD (0%): S$1,207.04, S$346.01 more
  • 20% NCD: S$1,207.04, S$346.01 more
  • Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,207.04, S$346.01 more
  • Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$861.03, the same
  • A new car, registered this year: S$886.61, S$25.58 more
  • A car 8 years old: S$787.96, S$73.07 less

Without NCD, the lowest premium is 40% higher. A younger driver with less experience pays the same higher figure. The older driver pays no more than the example. The car's age changes the lowest price only a little.

These are lowest prices. The plans above them may shift by different amounts, so check the full list for your own details.

Against similar cars

For the same driver and car age, the price page compares six cars:

The six average S$867.25, and the A6 is 1% below that. It matches the E-Class and the 5 Series. Two of the six, the Voxy and the Harrier, are cheaper to insure. The Audi car insurance page covers the make's other models.

Costs that depend on you

  • Parking: season parking where you live, plus work and town parking.
  • Petrol or charging: petrol depends on your distance and pump prices. For the electric versions, charging costs depend on where you charge and the rate you pay.
  • ERP: depends on your routes and the hours you drive.
  • Servicing and repairs: follow the maker's schedule. Ask what the warranty covers, including the battery on the electric versions.
  • Depreciation: set by what you pay and what the car fetches later.

Summary of yearly costs we can show

  • Insurance, no NCD: from S$1,207.04
