Range Rover Evoque costs in Singapore, list price to insurance

Range Rover Evoque costs in Singapore: list prices as listed on 2026-10-10, road tax for a 1,498cc engine, COE rules and dated insurance examples.

20 Oct 2026 · 5 min read

The Range Rover Evoque has a 1,498cc engine, which keeps its road tax modest in Singapore. Its insurance and list price are another matter. This page goes through each cost we can show with a figure: list price, COE, road tax and car insurance.

Insurance prices here are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. They help you see how costs fit together; they are not a quote.

The versions

The new-car list read on 2026-10-10 has two Evoque versions on sale, both SUVs made in the U.K.:

  • Evoque Mild Hybrid 1.5 S: petrol-electric, 1,498cc, 158bhp
  • Evoque Mild Hybrid 1.5 S Premium Pack: petrol-electric, 1,498cc, 158bhp

Our quote form lists five versions, including older ones:

  • Evoque 1.5P: 1,498cc
  • Evoque 2.0 3DR: 1,999cc
  • Evoque 2.0 5DR: 1,999cc
  • Evoque 2.0P: 1,997cc
  • Evoque 2.2: 2,179cc

The insurance figures are for the 1.5P, the version most insurers quote.

List price

As listed on 2026-10-10, with COE included in the list price that day:

  • Mild Hybrid 1.5 S: S$336,888
  • Mild Hybrid 1.5 S Premium Pack: S$350,888

List prices change with every COE round. When you compare dealer offers, check what each one includes before you compare totals.

COE

For the Evoque 1.5P, with its 1,498cc engine, the category depends on power. The price page's COE section says it needs a Category A COE if its power is 97kW (130bhp) or less, and a Category B COE if it is more.

In the October 2026 1st round, Category A closed at S$130,001 and Category B at S$130,100. These change every round; the COE page has the latest.

Road tax

For a 1,498cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$683.08 a year, before any age surcharge. The older 2.0 and 2.2 versions have larger engines and pay more. The road tax page covers those.

The age surcharge, for cars past 10 years:

  • Over 10 years: +10%
  • Over 11 years: +20%
  • Over 12 years: +30%
  • Over 13 years: +40%
  • Over 14 years: +50%

Insurance for the example driver

The Range Rover Evoque price page prices this case:

  • Car: Evoque 1.5P, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
  • Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
  • Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
  • Repairs: authorised workshop, no add-ons

12 insurers price it. The lowest premium is S$900.38. The insurer with the dearest lowest plan asks at least S$1,720.05. That is S$819.67 more, or 91% on top. All prices include 9% GST.

Four insurers that price cars online have no online price for the Evoque. For one, the model is not on its online quote; the others have no online price for it yet.

Excess

The excess is your share of each claim. Ten of the 19 plans carry S$600. One asks S$500 and three S$800. Three ask S$2,500 and one S$3,000. One plan has none. Note the excess for each plan you are considering, as it changes what a claim costs you.

How the price shifts

The price page reprices the car with one change:

  • No NCD (0%): S$1,431.70, S$531.32 more
  • 20% NCD: S$1,431.70, S$531.32 more
  • Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,431.70, S$531.32 more
  • Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$983.87, S$83.49 more
  • New car, registered this year: S$927.39, S$27.01 more
  • Car 8 years old: S$848.69, S$51.69 less

No NCD costs the most: the lowest price is 59% higher. The younger driver lands on the same figure. The 65-year-old pays a little more than the base driver. A new car costs slightly more to insure, and an 8-year-old one less.

These are lowest prices only. A different insurer comes out lowest once the NCD drops, so if your discount is below 50%, the order on the page may not hold for you.

For a new Evoque, the "new car" row is the one to read. It shows S$927.39 as the lowest price for the example driver.

Against similar cars

The price page compares six similar cars at the same driver and car age:

They average S$735.99. The Evoque costs 22% more. Five of the six are cheaper to insure; only the Mazda 3 costs more. The BMW X1 and the Mercedes-Benz GLB are the closest rivals in price. Other Land Rovers are on the Land Rover car insurance page.

Costs that depend on you

  • Parking: season parking at your HDB block or condo, plus office and mall parking.
  • Petrol: depends on how far you drive and the pump price. The mild hybrids pair petrol with an electric motor.
  • ERP: depends on your routes and times.
  • Servicing and repairs: follow the maker's schedule. Ask what the warranty and any service package cover.
  • Depreciation: depends on what you pay and what the car fetches later.
