A Range Rover is one of the dearest cars to buy in Singapore. Once you own one, the yearly costs are a separate question. This page sets out both: the list prices where the new-car list has them, then the COE, road tax and car insurance.
Keep one thing in mind. The list prices are for today's plug-in hybrids. The insurance, road tax and COE figures are for the 3.0 (2,926cc) on our quote form. Each section says which it covers. Insurance prices are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026.
The versions
The new-car list read on 2026-10-10 has four Range Rover plug-in hybrid versions, SUVs made in the U.K.:
- Plug-in Hybrid 3.0 HSE SWB: petrol-electric, 2,996cc, 453bhp
- Plug-in Hybrid 3.0 Autobiography SWB: petrol-electric, 2,996cc, 453bhp
- Plug-in Hybrid 3.0 Autobiography LWB: petrol-electric, 2,997cc, 453bhp
- Plug-in Hybrid 3.0 SV LWB 4-Seater: petrol-electric, 2,996cc, 453bhp
The same list also groups the Evoque, Sport and Velar under the Range Rover name. Those are separate models, so we leave them out here.
Our quote form lists six versions: the 3.0 (2,926cc), the 3.0P (2,996cc) and four 4.4 versions (4,395cc): Autobiography, Autobiography LWB 5-Seater, Autobiography LWB 7-Seater and SV LWB 5-Seater. The insurance figures are for the 3.0.
List prices
As listed on 2026-10-10, with COE included in the list price that day:
- Plug-in Hybrid 3.0 HSE SWB: S$853,888
- Plug-in Hybrid 3.0 Autobiography SWB: S$916,888
- Plug-in Hybrid 3.0 SV LWB 4-Seater: S$1,257,888
The list shows no price for the Autobiography LWB. List prices move with every COE round, so a dealer's figure may differ today. Ask what each offer includes before you compare.
COE
The price page's COE section covers the Range Rover 3.0. With a 2,926cc engine, above 1,600cc, it needs a Category B COE. That category closed at S$130,100 in the October 2026 1st round.
The page states no category for the plug-in hybrids, so we give none. The COE page has the latest results.
Road tax
For the 3.0's 2,926cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$2,298.30 a year, before any age surcharge. The 4.4 versions have much larger engines and pay more. The plug-in hybrids have different engines too. The road tax page covers other sizes.
The age surcharge:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
Insurance for the example driver
The Land Rover Range Rover price page prices this case:
- Car: Range Rover 3.0, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: authorised workshop, no add-ons
13 insurers price it. The lowest premium is S$1,212.00. The insurer with the dearest lowest plan asks at least S$2,548.34, which is S$1,336.34 more, or 110% on top. All prices include 9% GST.
Three insurers that price cars online have no online price for the Range Rover. For one, the model is not on its online quote.
Excess
The excess is what you pay on each claim. Ten of the 20 plans here carry S$600. Two ask S$500 and three S$800. Three ask S$2,500 and one S$3,000. One has no excess. On a car of this value, check the excess and what each plan covers, not just the premium.
How the price changes
The price page reprices the car with one change:
- No NCD (0%): S$1,550.47, S$338.47 more
- 20% NCD: S$1,550.47, S$338.47 more
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,550.47, S$338.47 more
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$1,212.00, the same
- New car, registered this year: S$1,212.00, the same
- Car 8 years old: S$1,167.34, S$44.66 less
No NCD costs the most, adding 28% to the lowest price. The younger driver lands on the same figure. The older driver and a new car both leave the lowest price unchanged. An 8-year-old car is S$44.66 cheaper. These are lowest prices only.
