The yearly costs of a Honda Accord Tourer in Singapore

Honda Accord Tourer 2.0 costs in Singapore: road tax, its Category B COE and dated car insurance prices for different drivers and car ages.

20 Oct 2026 · 5 min read

Running a Honda Accord Tourer in Singapore means three fixed yearly bills you can plan for: road tax, insurance and, in the background, the COE that keeps it on the road. This page puts figures on each, using the details our price page holds.

The insurance numbers are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. They help you judge the spread. Your own premium depends on your own answers.

The Accord Tourer we price

The Accord Tourer has no entry on the current new-car list, so there is no list price here. It is now a used-market car.

Our insurers quote it as the Accord Tourer 2.0, with a 1,997cc engine. All the figures on this page refer to that version.

Its COE category

With a 1,997cc engine, above 1,600cc, the Accord Tourer 2.0 needs a Category B COE. The price page states this, and engine size alone decides it.

In the October 2026 1st round, Category B closed at S$130,100. If you buy an Accord Tourer second-hand, the COE already on it sets how much road life is left. Check the expiry date on the log card. The COE page shows the latest bidding results.

Road tax on 1,997cc

LTA's formula gives S$1,208.58 a year for a 1,997cc engine, before any age surcharge.

Cars over 10 years old pay more each year:

  • Over 10 years: +10%
  • Over 11 years: +20%
  • Over 12 years: +30%
  • Over 13 years: +40%
  • Over 14 years: +50%

An older Accord Tourer may already sit in one of these bands. The surcharge applies to the base tax, so it grows as the car ages. The road tax page lets you compare engine sizes.

Car insurance: the spread

The Honda Accord Tourer price page prices one driver and car:

  • Car: Accord Tourer 2.0, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
  • Driver: 40, married, office job, 10 to 19 years of driving
  • Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
  • Repairs: authorised workshop, no options

14 insurers price the car on those details, and two on our panel have no online price. The lowest premium is S$787.96. The insurer whose lowest plan is dearest asks at least S$1,423.43. That is S$635.47 more, or 81% on top. All prices include 9% GST.

Many insurers on the page offer more than one plan, and a basic plan can sit well below the same insurer's fuller one. So compare like with like: check what each plan covers, not just its price.

Excess levels

The excess is the sum you pay before the insurer pays the rest of a claim. Most plans here set S$600. Others set S$500, S$750 or S$800, and one has no excess.

One plan near the lower end carries a S$2,500 excess. That is a large sum to find after an accident. Weigh it against the premium saved, and ask whether a separate, lower excess applies to windscreen claims.

When the details change

Here is the lowest premium on the page when one thing changes:

  • No NCD (0%): S$1,086.58, S$298.62 more
  • 20% NCD: S$1,086.58, S$298.62 more
  • Driver aged 27 with 3 years' driving and 30% NCD: S$1,086.58, S$298.62 more
  • Driver aged 65 with 20 or more years' driving: S$787.96, the same
  • A new car, registered this year: S$811.71, S$23.75 more
  • A car 8 years old: S$721.59, S$66.37 less

Dropping to no NCD costs the most, with the lowest price 38% higher. The 20% NCD and the younger driver profile land on that same figure.

An 8-year-old Accord Tourer is a little cheaper to insure at the lowest price than a 3-year-old one. The figures show lowest prices only. Dearer plans can move by more or less. When you get your own quotes, try them with and without an NCD protector, and with each workshop option, so you can see what each choice adds.

How it compares

The price page sets six similar cars beside the Accord Tourer, for the same driver and car age:

Their average lowest price is S$867.25. The Accord Tourer comes in 9% below that. Only one of the six is cheaper to insure, the Toyota Harrier. Other Honda models are on the Honda car insurance page, and our car insurance page explains how we compare.

Costs that are yours to estimate

Some costs depend on your own driving and living, so we give no figure for them.

  • Parking: season parking at your HDB block or condo, plus what you pay at work and in town.
  • Petrol: set by how far you drive and pump prices.
  • ERP: set by your routes and the time of day.
  • Servicing and repairs: regular servicing, plus tyres, brakes and a battery over the years. On a used car, ask for receipts and a service record.
  • Depreciation: set by what you pay and how many COE years remain.

Yearly costs, summed up

For the Accord Tourer 2.0, dated as shown:

  • Road tax: S$1,208.58 a year before any age surcharge (LTA's formula, checked 2026-10-19)
  • Insurance, standard driver: from S$787.96 a year (20 October 2026)
  • Insurance, no NCD: from S$1,086.58
  • Insurance, 8-year-old car: from S$721.59
  • COE: Category B, S$130,100 in the October 2026 1st round
