The Infiniti Q30 is one of the less common cars on Singapore roads, and it has no entry on the current new-car list. That puts it firmly in used-car territory. For anyone who owns one or is looking at one, this page lays out the costs that come round every year, and what makes them rise or fall.
The insurance figures are examples for one stated driver, read on 20 October 2026. They are a guide to the spread and what shifts it. They are not what you will be quoted.
The versions
The quote form lists three Q30s:
- Q30: 1,461cc
- Q30 1.6T: 1,595cc
- Q30 2.0: 1,991cc
Most insurers quote the Q30 with the 1,461cc engine, so that is the one priced here. Without a new-car list entry, there is no list price, power figure or body type to report.
COE
For the 1,461cc Q30, the price page states the rule. It needs a Category A COE if its power is 97kW (130bhp) or less, and a Category B COE if it is more.
The October 2026 1st round closed at S$130,001 for Category A and S$130,100 for Category B. On a used car, the COE years left are a large part of what you pay for. Check the expiry date before you agree a price. The COE page has every round.
Road tax
LTA's formula gives S$661.38 a year for the 1,461cc engine, before any surcharge for age. The surcharge applies once the car passes 10 years:
- Over 10 years: +10%
- Over 11 years: +20%
- Over 12 years: +30%
- Over 13 years: +40%
- Over 14 years: +50%
The 1.6T and 2.0 have bigger engines and pay more. The road tax page works out their figures.
Insurance: the standard case
The Infiniti Q30 price page uses these details:
- Car: Q30, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
- Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
- Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
- Repairs: authorised workshop, no options
12 insurers price it. The lowest premium is S$935.32. The insurer whose lowest plan is dearest asks at least S$2,039.75, which is S$1,104.43 more, or 118% on top. Prices include 9% GST.
So the top of the range is more than twice the bottom for the same car and the same driver. Four insurers have no online price for the Q30. Of the rest, prices are spread fairly evenly across the range, with 20 plans on the page in all.
The excess
On most plans the excess is S$600. Others set it at S$500, S$750 or S$800. A few plans ask S$2,500 or S$3,000. One plan has no excess, and it is also the dearest.
The excess is the share of each claim that you pay. A plan with a slightly lower premium but a S$2,500 excess is a different deal from one with a S$600 excess. Compare them as pairs. And check whether a higher excess applies to young drivers or anyone not named on the policy.
The lowest price under different details
The price page holds everything else steady and changes one thing:
- No NCD (0%): S$1,176.50, S$241.18 more
- 20% NCD: S$1,176.50, S$241.18 more
- Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,176.50, S$241.18 more
- Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$1,022.10, S$86.78 more
- A new car, registered this year: S$931.36, S$3.96 less
- A car 8 years old: S$890.27, S$45.05 less
The changes are smaller here than on many cars. Losing NCD lifts the lowest price by 26%. A younger driver with 30% NCD lands on the same figure. An older driver pays a little more than the standard driver.
Car age barely moves the price. A new car is almost the same, and an 8-year-old one a little less. These are lowest prices only; individual plans can shift by other amounts.
Next to similar cars
The price page compares the Q30 with six cars of similar engine size, for the same driver and car age:
- Mazda 3: S$927.36
- BMW X1: S$811.71
- Mercedes-Benz GLB: S$787.96
- Toyota Corolla Altis: S$642.42
- Honda Freed: S$642.42
- Toyota Sienta: S$604.07
These six average S$735.99. The Q30 is 27% above that, and all six cost less to insure at their lowest price. If insurance cost weighs heavily in your choice, that is worth knowing. Other Infiniti models are on the Infiniti car insurance page. The cheapest cars to insure page looks across makes.
Costs set by the owner
No single figure covers these:
- Parking: HDB or condo season parking, plus parking at work, in town and at malls.
- Petrol: your mileage and the pump price.
- ERP: your routes and the times you travel.
- Servicing and repairs: routine servicing, then tyres, brakes, a battery and wear parts as the car ages. For a less common make, ask how parts are sourced and how long they take.
- Depreciation: what you pay, set against the COE years left and the price when you sell.
