What an Alfa Romeo Giulia costs to keep in Singapore

Alfa Romeo Giulia costs in Singapore: list prices as listed, Category B COE, road tax and dated car insurance examples for a set driver.

20 Oct 2026 · 5 min read

The Alfa Romeo Giulia sits at the pricier end of the market, and its running costs follow suit. If you are pricing one up, this page goes through the big items: the list price, the COE, road tax and car insurance.

Insurance figures are examples. They were read on 20 October 2026 for one stated driver and car. Your own premium depends on your details, so take these as a guide to the costs, not an offer.

Giulia versions

The new-car list read on 2026-10-10 shows two Giulias on sale, both petrol cars made in Italy and listed under the sports body type:

  • Giulia 2.0 Veloce: 1,995cc, 276bhp
  • Giulia 2.9 Quadrifoglio: 2,891cc, 512bhp

The quote form adds two more 2.0 versions, for cars already on the road:

  • Giulia 2.0: 1,995cc
  • Giulia 2.0 Super: 1,995cc

The insurance figures below are for the Giulia 2.0, which most insurers quote. The Veloce and Super share its 1,995cc engine and road tax. The Quadrifoglio is a different case, with a much larger engine.

Buying new: the list prices

As listed on 2026-10-10, with COE included in the list price that day:

  • 2.0 Veloce: S$308,888
  • 2.9 Quadrifoglio: S$490,888

List prices follow the COE, so they move every bidding round. Ask what each quote includes, such as the COE and registration, before you set two offers side by side.

COE: Category B

For the Giulia 2.0, with its 1,995cc engine above 1,600cc, the price page is clear: it needs a Category B COE. That closed at S$130,100 in the October 2026 1st round.

COE results change each round. The COE page has the current figures.

Road tax for the 2.0

Road tax rises steeply with engine size. For the 1,995cc engine, LTA's formula gives S$1,206.24 a year, before any age surcharge.

If the car is kept past 10 years on a renewed COE, a surcharge applies:

  • Over 10 years: +10%
  • Over 11 years: +20%
  • Over 12 years: +30%
  • Over 13 years: +40%
  • Over 14 years: +50%

The Quadrifoglio's 2,891cc engine pays more than the figure above. The road tax page works it out for any engine size.

What insurance costs

The Alfa Romeo Giulia price page prices this example:

  • Car: Giulia 2.0, registered 3 years ago, private use, comprehensive cover
  • Driver: aged 40, married, office job, driving 10 to 19 years
  • Record: 50% no-claim discount (NCD), no claims
  • Repairs: authorised workshop, no options

8 insurers price the Giulia for that driver. That is fewer than for many everyday cars. The lowest premium is S$1,151.74 a year. The insurer whose lowest plan is the dearest asks at least S$2,309.48, which is S$1,157.74 more, or 101% on top. All prices include 9% GST.

So the dearest lowest plan costs about twice the lowest. With fewer insurers in the mix, each one's price carries more weight. A few prices on the page are estimates, and the insurer's own quote has the final figure.

Excess

The excess is your share of each claim. Most Giulia plans carry S$600, and others sit at S$500 or S$800. A few ask S$2,500, one asks S$3,000, and one has none. Read the excess alongside the premium.

How the premium shifts

The price page gives the lowest premium after one change:

  • No NCD (0%): S$1,306.99, S$155.25 more
  • 20% NCD: S$1,306.99, S$155.25 more
  • Driver aged 27, 3 years' driving, 30% NCD: S$1,306.99, S$155.25 more
  • Driver aged 65, 20 or more years' driving: S$1,258.61, S$106.87 more
  • A new car, registered this year: S$1,186.39, S$34.65 more
  • A car 8 years old: S$1,096.27, S$55.47 less

The changes are milder than you might expect. Losing your NCD raises the lowest price by 13%. An older driver pays a little more, a new car a little more again, and an 8-year-old car a little less.

These are lowest prices only. The other plans on the page may move by different amounts, so look at the full list for your own case.

Similar cars, side by side

The price page compares six cars for the same driver and car age:

Their average lowest price is S$867.25. The Giulia costs 33% more than that, and all six are cheaper to insure. For other models from the make, see the Alfa Romeo car insurance page.

Costs that depend on you

These are real costs, but they differ too much between owners for one figure:

  • Parking: your HDB or condo season parking, and parking at work and around town.
  • Petrol: depends on how far you drive and the pump price.
  • ERP: depends on your routes and the hours you drive.
  • Servicing and parts: follow the maker's schedule. Ask what the warranty and any service package cover.
  • Depreciation: what you lose depends on what you pay and what the car fetches later.

Summary of yearly costs we can show

For the Giulia 2.0, dated:

  • Road tax: S$1,206.24 a year, before any age surcharge (LTA's formula, checked 2026-10-19)
  • Insurance, standard driver: from S$1,151.74 a year (20 October 2026)
  • Insurance, no NCD: from S$1,306.99
  • Insurance, car 8 years old: from S$1,096.27

One-off costs for reference: a list price from S$308,888 for the 2.0 Veloce, as listed on 2026-10-10, and a Category B COE of S$130,100 in the October 2026 1st round.
