Does the breed change the price?
At some insurers, yes: several insurers rate by breed when you buy, and some exclude breeds such as Pit Bull types and Akitas. No insurer's online table prices breed, so the prices here are for a mixed-breed dog or a domestic cat; each breed page says what the insurers say about that breed.
